My Pick (independent research): Confirmed independently this is a genuine crisis, not just a bad run: Gladbach have a -9 goal difference (3 scored/12 conceded, worst in the league) and blew a 3-1 lead at home to newly-promoted Elversberg before losing 4-3 — a real red flag, not just an unlucky scoreline. Mainz's away form is the strongest independent evidence: three straight road wins and a positive season goal difference (6 scored/3 conceded) despite their one loss. Unlike a combo bet, this only needs Mainz to not lose — a materially safer condition than requiring two things to both happen. Added as a My Pick after reconsidering the original trio's weakest leg (Sevilla–Barcelona's G/G risk) against the other 7 shown cards — this one had the cleanest, most independently-verifiable case.

The real risk to this pick is Roma's own defense — only 1 goal conceded all season cuts against G/G — but Inter's proven ability to fight back from 2 down against a solid Udinese side, plus a lopsided h2h scoring record against Roma, tips the balance. Team news is a wash: Calhanoglu, Spence, Stones out for Inter; Ndicka a doubt for Roma. Lowest confidence of the three — a two-leg combo where Roma's own defensive numbers cut against the G/G side.

Highest confidence of today's three picks.
